“Now to Him”:
A woman once approached the famous preacher, G. Campbell Morgan, after he spoke and asked, “Do you think we should pray for even the little things in our lives, or just for the big things?” In his dignified British manner, he replied, “Madam, can you think of anything in your life that is big to God?”
The apostle Paul would have said, “Amen!” He has just prayed that the Ephesians would be filled up to all the fullness of God. It’s a prayer that they would come to total spiritual perfection! You can’t go any higher than to be filled with all the fullness of God!
We, the family Church at Greggton UMC, have decided to separate a special time to worship God and meditate on His Word according to this portion of scripture. Focusing on the "Now to Him" fragment, I invite you to consider that God is the most interested in making His dreams come true in us and through us.
Colossians 1:16 says that all things were "created through Him and for Him". That means that Jesus is the center of everything and we should show interest in his interests. What is our greatest desire for our Church? What is our greatest dream for our beloved Church? Well, the Bible calls the church His Church, His bride, His body. Amazing is this mystery! The family church at Greggton has decided to focus on His purpose for our lives. Every day at 3:20 (am or pm, you decide) we will be praying for His dream for His dream come true in our home Church, the Texas Conference and the world Church. We want to see the prayer giants, the prayer warriors in action. We want to join those willing to elevate their worship to the One who can do everything. “Now” is the time to elevate our lives “to Him”.
